"No air con, made to wait at check-in, check-in was supposed to be at 15.00, left standing at reception while he went through the back office, then told the room was not ready, coat rack fell off the wall, which I repaired, the rooms could do with air conditioning rather than a tower fan, beds were not the best"

"I really liked this hotel. It has the faded glamour of a Victorian Manor House. It needs updating as it is a bit tatty in places. However, the staff were lovely, it's very convenient for Pitlochry and the restaurant was excellent and good value. They have a pool but we didn't try it"

"Hotel is very cool, nice rooms, great food/bar!"

"Beautiful property"

"Nice staff. Nice hotel. Nice town. Very comfortable and walkable. Make sure you eat at The Geographer. It is the best food in Scotland."

"I spent 6 nights at Columba, staggered around tours including a 2 night tour. If I hadn't have prepaid, I would've moved to another hotel. The Columba has certainly seem better days and is generally run down, dirty and largely defective. Some staff were helpful when things didnt work, others flatly were not. I had breakfast only on my last day and it was possibly the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. I will not return to that hotel under any circumstances."

"This is an excellent base for exploring the Highlands as long as you set your expectations correctly. The property is a little dated but clean and comfortable, and frankly you shouldn't want to spend lots of time in a hotel with such amazing scenery all around and free parking! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great."

"Room was good for us with our dog - clean, comfortable and warm though saw no staff as it was a self check in and check out arrangement"

"Bit dated but charming. Staff were lovely and it was fun to meet some locals. Good food on a cold, rainy night."

"It was ok that's all you can say.overall the Hotel has seen better days very tired lifts out of order room was on 3rd Floor"

"The property is not as advertised at all. We were put in an old smelly 700 year old hotel with the worst neighbours ever. The gentleman at the front who seems to do all the work there was absolutely amazing. Don’t expect a good nights rest as the bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were really non existent. Do yourselves a favour and do not stay here. Worst overnight on our 2 week journey."

"Hôtel très bien placé, personnel du petit déjeuner au top mais bâtiment qui demande à être rénové"

"Very unclean and outdated. Very dingy as well with horrible smells of cheap air fresheners everywhere and window in room didn’t open either. Stay elsewhere."

"This was a cool castle to stay in for the night!! Our room was furthest away and told we had to wait around 10mins for hot water to come in shower which was true!! The only thing is that the TV is in the wrong place! Other that that all good"

"The location was great, good food and beautiful property."

"👍"

"Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands."
