"No air con, made to wait at check-in, check-in was supposed to be at 15.00, left standing at reception while he went through the back office, then told the room was not ready, coat rack fell off the wall, which I repaired, the rooms could do with air conditioning rather than a tower fan, beds were not the best"

"Property was originally booked because of the spa available on site. We arrive and the spa is closed with no indication or reimbursement because of it being closed. Property is very expensive in comparison to multiple resorts in the area. So without the spa, it is not worth the stay. Water pressure was poor , No toiletries .we also had to park across the street and of course it was raining!we had booked a superior room and got a room with no view small and old."

"Beautiful property"

"The accommodation was compact, clean and modern. It was perfect for a quick stopover in the beautiful Fort William area."

"I spent 6 nights at Columba, staggered around tours including a 2 night tour. If I hadn't have prepaid, I would've moved to another hotel. The Columba has certainly seem better days and is generally run down, dirty and largely defective. Some staff were helpful when things didnt work, others flatly were not. I had breakfast only on my last day and it was possibly the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. I will not return to that hotel under any circumstances."

"Rooms were spread across different locations- houses- which made our larger group of four more difficult to coordinate. No elevators but the rooms were nice and the staff as well."

"This is an excellent base for exploring the Highlands as long as you set your expectations correctly. The property is a little dated but clean and comfortable, and frankly you shouldn't want to spend lots of time in a hotel with such amazing scenery all around and free parking! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great."

"Room was good for us with our dog - clean, comfortable and warm though saw no staff as it was a self check in and check out arrangement"

"Une belle chambre spacieuse."

"Very unclean and outdated. Very dingy as well with horrible smells of cheap air fresheners everywhere and window in room didn’t open either. Stay elsewhere."

"This was a cool castle to stay in for the night!! Our room was furthest away and told we had to wait around 10mins for hot water to come in shower which was true!! The only thing is that the TV is in the wrong place! Other that that all good"

"The location was great, good food and beautiful property."

"Clean room, generous bed size and good shower. Great choice at breakfast table. Didn't use the pool as we were travelling about for much of our stay but it did look inviting. Ideal base for travelling around this part of the Highlands."

"Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands."
