"Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable, well appointed room. Quite convenient to the York train station and reasonably close to the city center."

"This was a great location centered in the middle of everything you needed. Helpful staff. Glad we made the stop before Edinburgh. Fun little town."

"Breakfast plan is not worth it. For such a iconic hotel the breakfast was buffet style and very very basic and of poor quality Disappointed"

"Clean + friendly staff + good for families "

"Clean room, baby cot available, and staff were helpful"

"The hotel was very clean, all the staff were friendly. Definitely worth the money!"

"The property was very central. The room was a reasonable size for one night with everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good with large towels. We were disappointed to be in an accessible room which meant the shower was a wet room and the whole area ended up quite wet once the shower was used."

"Friendly and very helpful staff, very convenient only 5 minutes to walk into York town . Could do with a bigger car parking facilities."

"Was able to check in early which was a bonus. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Reception area spacious , clean and tidy. A lot of staff on hand to help. Location slightly abit too far from the centre if walking in and out frequently. 15 mins from Centre. 22 min from station ( however bus stop outside hotel which helps) We had a room on the 4th floor which was adequate in size, and noise from other rooms and corridor minimal. Drinks prices from hotel bar very reasonable."

"An absolutely beautiful hotel that's an easy walk from the old Medieval walls of York. The hotel room was gorgeous, with a lovely balcony, and the reception and housekeeping staff were wonderful. Genuinely one of my favorite hotels that I've stayed at recently."
