"Clean room, great breakfast. Quiet. Great beach access. Room could use a paint touch up in spots."

"Nice access to the beach"

"Rooms we damp due to air conditioner continues to run Not terrible but could be better"

"Just came back from a week getaway on the OBX. This was our third time staying at Shutters. We tried another place when we went down earlier this year in March. HUGE mistake. It had good reviews online but it was nothing like the website or reviews. So we made sure to return to Shutters in the fall. Everything about Shutters is fabulous. You can’t beat the proximity to the beach. Every single staff member that we encountered were so friendly. The room was as nice as we remembered from our...

"I have been staying at this resort for over 20 years. It used to be a great place to stay for the money. Over the last 5 years it has been going down hill. The prices have skyrocketed even in the off season. The rooms need to be updated. They still have that old carpet in the rooms. The mattress on the bed is really hard and they have these 4 long pillows on the bed that are flat as a pancake. The couch in the room was updated but now the table they still have in the room is very low for the...

"My husband and I had an incredible stay. The amenities were great, the resort was beautiful, it’s conveniently super close to any store you may need, staff were friendly, it was clean, it was quiet! 10/10 cannot wait to stay again"

"The staff was wonderful."

"the manager was very kind, room clean, he kept us up to date with the incoming storm"

"The wifi sucked. It constantly disconnected and had to be reconnected. The wifi was unsecured so my phone security had to block a phishing attempt. The staff was polite. The room was clean & quiet."

"This is our favorite place to stay when we go to the Outer Banks. The service is always great friendly. The hotel is always clean and we always love staying there."

"MARY Clean stuff. Very friendly"

"We loved being on the third floor. Great views. The bed was comfy. But, the A/C didn’t work. It blew air 24/7 but never cooled the room off."

"The Sanderling is an excellent resort that is well maintained and full of amenities. The staff is professional, friendly, and courteous. We had a fantastic king suite with an ocean view. Please be aware that the building does not have elevators, so we had to lug our suitcases up and down four flights of stairs to our third-floor room. Navigating stairs is also the only way into the main entrance, so be prepared to carry your luggage—not exactly ADA-compliant. Additionally, our room featured two...

"Clean room, helpful staff, hearty breakfast, balcony watching ocean waves, and on the beach👍"
