"5 stars all around"

"Exquisite hotel beautifully situated on the Ashford Castle estate property. The original Lodge was significantly expanded in the back with an elegant courtyard surrounded on all three sides by large attractive and very comfortable rooms. The entire property is perfectly maintained with a mix of original flair and contemporary art with the original building looking out onto a gorgeous view of the Loch. The food selection at the restaurant was limited but delicious. At least the steak and the...

"The whole experience at the hotel was excellent from room to breakfast dinners spa. The later checkout of 12 noon helps when you’re traveling. No complaints."

"Loved the Wyatt Hotel in Westport! Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. Very nice breakfast. Staff was fine - not overly warm and welcoming, but helped when asked. Parking was usually available right outside the front door. Price was very reasonable! Loved walking around and shopping in town. Nice fine on our way to Connemara."

"The hotel was okay overall, but I found the treatment of solo travellers disappointing. We seemed to be given the less desirable tables in the restaurant and weren’t even asked whether we would prefer to sit inside or on the glass veranda. As a solo traveller, you already pay considerably more for a room, so it’s frustrating to feel disadvantaged in other ways too. I actually decided to leave earlier than planned and paid for."

"The room was beautiful and well appointed, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast outstanding!!"

"We had a nice large room with a bathtub which was quite nice. Geo large beds as well. However the cold water faucet did not work in our bathroom. The bathroom door also did not close and latch. The door was pretty beaten up at the bottom as well. Just needs some maintenance. I wanted to use the pool but the blaring music in the gym was a turn off for me doing that. The breakfast was ok. They said here were hot food options to get made to order but no one who waited on us even offered or told...

"Really helpful, kind receptionist on late arrival."

"Very basic property. Rooms are quite warm, though fans are available. However, garbage trucks, recycling trucks, and keg pickups happen early in the morning and are VERY noisy, so leaving the window open is a challenge. The parking situation is aggravating, as nobody can explain the rules (we got conflicting messages). Overall, the property is fine, but I wouldn’t stay here if it’s warm or busy."

"We were so fortunate to be upgraded. Our room was a suite and superb. The staff on Reception were excellent and the Manager a joy."

"Absolutely amazing time at Westport Plaza, great rooms, food, staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. A perfect five day stay. Thank you all xx"

"Beautiful grounds. We loved our stay"

"Generally a nice place. A little dated. Warning there are some stairs with no elevator to lower level. Hallway downstairs was a bit creepy. Pool was nice, however you do have to leave the building to get there. Front desk staff was very nice. Restaurant was also very nice but it does take a little while. Good location. All in all pretty good for the price."

"Eine nette Unterkunft, bei der man das Abendmenü nicht auslassen sollte. Man sitzt mit allen Gästen an einer großen Tafel und kann beim Smalltalk über Gott und die Welt philosophieren."

"All was great. Location for access to the Shrinec was amazing. Car friendly, not as easy to understand for bus commuters."
