"We enjoyed our staff in St Ives but aspects of Treganna left us disappointed. Our room with a sea view was excellent but the bathroom needed attention. Particularly disappointing was the quality of the breakfast and evening meals. Fresh fruit on offer for breakfast consisted only of melon slices, the remainder of fruit being tinned cocktail and peaches. The hot food was swimming in grease. Evening meals in the Godrevy restaurant were very disappointing. We had one nice meal the day we arrived....

"Advertised there was a pool as the first amenity- the indoor pool finally opened halfway through the stay but took another few days to heat up and all feels very unfinished. The outdoor pool isn’t coming until 2027!! They were still laying turf with builders all over and no loungers available for entirety of my stay. Hotel is far from finished yet Great views from the fourth floor room with terrace (but lift isn’t installed yet, so lots of stairs to climb!). Staff lovely"

"The only one good thing about this hotel they let us check in early. The hotel had a bad smell in reception area on arrival. Are room was so basic! Had no trowels, no toliet roll and no hot water. Had 2 tv in room none of them worked. About 4am to 6am there was a lot screaming and shouting outside hotel. When I went downstairs in morning there was loads of young men all asleep around reception area know one on reception to report anything to. This honestly was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in...

"As stated in other reviews this hotel is in need of an urgent refurb. The worst issue for me personally was how hot the room was even on a breezy day, although there was a fan almost impossible to sleep. "

"Splendid location of traditional seaside hotel. The full seaview we had from our double bedroom was amazing and calming and we enjoyed the mid week craft sale in the dining room. Staff were generally welcoming and helpful but there could have been a few more on duty at breakfast as noone came to offer us tea or coffee."

"On the whole ok. There was hair left on bathroom floor & taps, hairdryer was cold. Bed clean. Easy to park, tea & coffee provided. Narrow corridors which made it harder with luggage."
