"Total scam. The photos are nothing what like what the room looks like. You think your getting a decent, updated room but you get a run down, dirty motel room with mold and broken shower. Asked the staff about this and was told there was nothing that can be done and should be careful next time when booking. The beds do not have blankets, only 1 sheet. Also booked ocean view and got a hiant tin roof view instead. Only 1 room key per room, no back ups either. No place to get your water filled. No...

"good"

"In fairness the hotel is good, but the Expedia advertising is misleading, it’s like you have breakfast included but you go there and you don’t, it’s saying you have parking but when you’re there they will say you have to pay again. In both cases we had to pay again. It’s disappointing"

"Had a great 12 days at Cairns Colonial Club over the recent school holidays. The kids enjoyed the pool area and making new friends every day. The convenience of a cafe, bar, pizza place and also breakfast buffet were great to integrate across our holiday when we weren’t out sight seeing. The rooms were always cleaned regularly and well, the staff always so helpful. Would be great to have slightly better storage solutions in the room, as we lived out of the suitcases instead of being able to...

"Old pool"

"great location, quiet and a functional spacious room"

"Generally pretty good only real problem was the wifi which was terrible and constantly cut out."

"Lovely hotel in a great location near the water. Lots of cool amenities such as restaurants, a spa, and and outdoor seating area. Lots of shops and restaurants right out back of the property. The room was very nice."

"Beds Very comfortable and clean rooms"

"the property needs a maintenance overhaul. ie signs are peeling, glass around pool is moldy and cloudy. Food choice is very limited and expensive for 2 or more days it adds up. Basic Room was a dark box, window looked out to brush and toward walkway 2' away so had to keep curtains closed. The larger rooms may have been better. I would not recommend to others for overnight stays."
