"The fact that Guacamole steak is one of their popular restaurants and is closed 1 day of the week is nonsense. Japanese restaurant’s food was gross and has nothing to do with Japanese food. Flavors were bad and nothing close to authentic Japanese cuisine. Hallways to rooms were dirty and people were rowdy all night to the point my husband and I didn’t get any sleep all night.This was our second stay at Riu and I don’t think we would return to this place again. Unfortunately drinks were super watered down and poor quality. Don’t recommend."

"We truly enjoyed our stay! The property was absolutely beautiful — from the clean rooms and pools to the facilities and dining areas. Everything was well maintained and created such a relaxing experience. Marco Polo was definitely our favorite restaurant and dining experience, but honestly we enjoyed all of it. We especially loved the beach parties with drinks and appetizers, along with the live music and bands throughout the resort — including the Mariachis! There was always something fun and enjoyable happening. Such a wonderful all-inclusive experience and we loved every minute of it!"

Being part of a flight crew, we came back a week later and a noticeable change compared to the first visit - lots of amenities in the room and the mini bar was kept stocked first go-around. Second visit, no bathroom amenities, tv guide wasn’t working, phone wasn’t charged, and the mini bar was never restocked. Somewhat torn on how to rate."
