"Not sure why hotels think we are suddenly ok with being nickled and dimed with 10 dollar parking fees but it’s ridiculous. If Marriott is hurting that bad for money just build it into the cost of the room. This hotel isn’t even downtown, it’s in a residential area. Hotel is fine, but paying to park at your own hotel is the stupidest thing ever."

"The Red Lion Boise Downtowner is in dire need of a renovation. The entry/ registration area/ breakfast area is not bad even nice but the hallway carpeting is a mess and a trip hazard and dirty. The a/c didn't work in our room. Luckily the staff let me use their office fan at 3am to help with the heat. I changed hotels for our second night and was given a refund for that night and 1/2 off for our first night. The staff was very helpful and kind to help me out with this fustrating stay."

"We would absolutely stay here again! The room was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's located in a perfect spot so we were able to walk almost anywhere downtown easily and not have to worry about finding parking whenever we wanted to go somewhere. They upgraded our room (not sure if this was tied to the Expedia rewards thing or just something they were able to do for us) but it was so nice to have that extra space. Toilet had a leak in the tank, when you took a bath you wound up standing in water up to your ankles because it did drain smoothly. "This property was clean and located in a great location. We were able to walk through downtown and over to the Ann Morrison Park. We stayed here through July 4th and sat at the top of the parking garage to watch the fireworks- it was front row view… amazing show!
