"Definitely a 5* establishment.
Easy check-in with attentive and polite staff. Beautiful, spacious and well maintained rooms with lots of helpful little details. Even though the hotel was going through a major refurbishment, this did not diminish the customer experience. Varied breakfast with fresh, well cooked ingredients. The spa is beautiful and we were lucky that it was not busy, so we had such a relaxing experience.
I think it was due to the refurbishment that the restaurant was closed and there were options to eat in the bar or in the nearby clubhouse, both on very limited menus. Not a great choice for vegetarians, so we had to eat elsewhere. I do think this was down to the renovation works though, so wouldn't mark them down for this minor issue which did not detract from our stay."
