"For a 2-night stay at a reasonable price, it was okay and gave me a place to sleep. But there were quite a few issues. The mattress was terrible, the duvet was polyester and wasn't even in a cover, and the sheets were rough and scratchy. The toilet paper was so thin it felt like tissue paper. The bath towels weren't really bath towels at all, they were so small they barely wrapped around me and felt more like hand towels. The room also wasn't cleaned properly. I found hairs on the shower wall and there was a sticky spot on the floor. When I went to check out, nobody was at the front desk, the office door was locked, and I had to buzz the intercom twice before someone finally came down. The one positive was the location. It's a short walk to Main Street and the waterfront."

"Beautiful hotel, well kept and clean. Check in process was fast and the staff was friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the gym on site which was lovely to have accessible 24/7 as we arrived very late at night but wanted to unwind a bit before bed. There was tons of parking options which is absolutely lovely as well. We weren't able to partake in the breakfast but it smelled delicious. Room was spacious and had tons of outlets to plug and charge electronics. Bathroom was spotless and fully stocked (bonus there's great water pressure and tons of hot water in the morning for a shower). Excellent stay!"

"I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at Candore College Residence in North Bay to book elsewhere. My four-night stay was completely unacceptable and one of the worst lodging experiences I have ever had. During my entire stay, my towels were never replaced and my sheets were never changed. Basic housekeeping standards were ignored, and when I brought up my concerns, staff were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. The most serious issue occurred at 2:17 a.m. on my fourth night when a staff member entered my room without my permission. There was no emergency, no prior notice, and no reasonable explanation. Being woken up by someone entering my room in the middle of the night made me feel uncomfortable, unsafe, and violated. Guests should be able to expect privacy and security, and this incident completely destroyed my trust in the property. To make matters worse, there were earwigs crawling throughout the room. Seeing bugs inside the accommodation was disgusting and raised serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. Since my stay, I have repeatedly requested a refund. Every staff member tells me I need to speak with a manager, yet neither I nor Expedia have been able to get in contact with one. The lack of accountability and communication has been incredibly frustrating. Between the poor housekeeping, rude staff, pest issues, unauthorized room entry, and inability to reach management, I cannot recommend this property to anyone."
