We arrived at 1 AM after a very long travel day and the next afternoon after sleeping in my husband, discovered raw sewage, backing up in the toilet and shower. We immediately contacted the host as we had to quickly leave the property due to the smell. The host immediately offered us a refund as we had to quickly find another place to stay that ended up being more expensive when we returned to the property for my husband‘s pillow, he had left behind the municipal sewer company. Was there performing work along with the host husband. In the following days, we attempted to reach out to the host to process our refund and she ignored us. Finally, after several days, she said she would process our refund when she processed our refund she only refunded half of our stay and would not communicate with us regarding the rest of our refund. The major sewer backup ended up costing us almost 1000 due to the host, not honoring her offer to refund us. I’ve called Vrbo five times and they also keep making promises to me and have yet to compensate us. Terrible experience, BEWARE!!!
