"Property: great. Host team: awful.Direct lake access down a wooden path and stairs — only a left-hand rail. —Property: great. Host team Vue stay : awful.Direct lake access down a wooden path and stairs — only a left-hand rail. Chairs, umbrellas, a trunk of life vests, plus a paddleboard and kayaks were all there for guests.The house sits in a wooded area with a metal cauldron type fire pit. Both a gas and charcoal grill is available for use as well. Saint Joseph is about 15 minutes away for Restaurants , cafes and wineries or breweries along the way. Not handicap accessible — multiple steps to get in. The second floor has a big, well-stocked kitchen and a great lake view from the deck. The place has real character, not cookie-cutter.AT&T has zero coverage here, which made it harder to reach the host when we hit an access-code problem.The house is excellent. Booking through Vrbo and dealing with Vue Stay was a disaster. Agents wouldn’t even introduce themselves by name, so we couldn’t tell if we were talking to one person or five. They ignored prior messages and blew off specific questions.House: thumbs up. Vue Stay: thumbs down."

"Property is conveniently located to South Haven and St Joseph but far enough away to not be part of the city. Large property to walk around. Several kids toys in the house so we didn't have to pack toys in and out for the kids. Linda was easy to communicate with and a great host"

"My son was getting married at one of the venue in Harbour springs. I found this place and it was everything it looks like in pictures. The home was perfect. We had prob 12-14 people stay. We had all the groomsmen my mom stay. The home is very large. I could not hear the boys outside while I went to bed which was perfect cause I need my sleep. Just so you are aware there is another whole huge bedroom passed the laundry room above the garage which had 2 queen beds and a twin bed. Wow perfect for extra people. The bathrooms were perfect. We had all the bridesmaid come to our house in am to get ready and boys left because there was so many bathrooms and mirrors. The hot tub was clean and huge. Loved the wrap around deck and they had a nice shower outside. Sadly we did not get to enjoy beach or the house as much as we would have like due to the wedding, but I really wished I would have stayed 2 extra nights. Definitely would have been worth it. The kitchen was nice I had a whole buffet I made for breakfast for everyone the next day bridesmaids and groomsmen was so nice in large to have space and organization. We definetly would love to come back to this lovely home."

"I have seven kids and five of my own siblings and we stayed here for my daughter’s wedding. We had family come in from California to Michigan to Pennsylvania to Georgia and ages from 4 to 81. Everyone had plenty of space to visit, a quiet, comfortable spot to sleep, and so much to do! This was a perfect way for us to all be together during our downtime before and after the wedding and even have family and the wedding party over for a rehearsal dinner after the rehearsal. Spectacular accommodations that allowed us to all stay connected and make the most of a beautiful weekend communication was clear and helpful with the host, they were very response. Anytime we had a question! The kitchens were well equipped, the hot tub was a hit, and the picnic tables in the atrium perfect! There were fold out couches, futons and comfortable beds for sleeping, and all the supplies you could need, including first aid kits that definitely came in handy! Thank you for helping to make our weekend so seamless and comfortable!"

"BLUF: for a peaceful, mostly quiet (you can hear some traffic), very pet friendly stay with no neighbors, no hassles and you don't require a 5-star experience with hot tub and Egyptian cotton bedding, this place is AWESOME!Pros:Location: 15 minutes from two BEAUTIFUL dog-friendly public beaches.Convenience: Gas station and convenience store within a 5-minute walk.Proximity: 20 minutes from scenic Saugatuck (which is a picturesque waterside community on the Kalamazoo lake/river mouth with great people, great food, TONS of outdoor activities in the area and an amazing atmosphere and all dog friendly to boot!) and 40 minutes from Holland.The CottageVibe: Rustic, comfortable, dated, but fully functional.Amenities: Two decent queen beds, 55-inch TV with all streaming apps, and a capable climate control unit.Kitchen: Medium fridge and well-stocked with essentials (Keurig, pans, dishes, utensils).Bathroom: Good shower pressure and temperature, though the handle is stiff.Flooring: Polished concrete with an area rug.Cons:Bugs: Ants will appear overnight if crumbs are left on the floor.Connectivity: Zero AT&T indoor cell service; spotty reception near the lake.Pillows: Very firm (recommend bringing your own).Missing Items: No broom, dustpan, mop, bucket, outdoor trash can and no microwave."
