"The hot tub was amazing!!! Best I have been in at any hotel. The room was clean and so spacious. I love staying here."

"Convenient location, friendly staff and food breakfast. However, hot water didn’t work and water pressure is very low. Hallway lights fixtures needed bulbs replaced as it was twitching or not working."

"We were gone all day, our room wasn’t cleaned until the evening. We were only given one bath towel for two people. We did not receive clean glasses for second day. The day bartender had no clue what she was doing. She didn’t know how to make a proper Chilton! She messed up order after order while we sat at the bar. She had trouble ringing up orders…what a disaster. She kept blaming it on it being busy- there were maybe 16-20 people. The second night the bartenders were great and it was very busy! The Overton used to be top notch…hopefully things will get turned around."

"This was the most misrepresentation of a hotel I have ever experienced. My wife and I have not had a night off in two years. I was so excited to get away to a nice hotel. We were late getting in and I should have left and went and slept in the car. Needless to so intimacy wasn’t happening. We slept in our clothes and my wife even Waller her pillow in her hoodie. The pool was actually full of moss and dirt I have pictures but no where to post. The rating and pics said 7.8 should be a 2 and say do not stay. The only reason a man should bring his wife here. He plans on serving divorce papers and leaving her there. Yes it is that bad. This is the first time in 50 years I have left a negative review. "

"We booked the last room on Expedia and paid in full as we were in Lubbock for the George Strait concert and the city and up to 1 hr travel was sold out! When we arrived at the Travel Lodge we were told they gave our room to someone else but they had another room that they don’t usually rent out that we could stay in. We had no other choice but to accept because we were 5 hours from home and we could not find another room in Lubbock! It was horrible!! Broken window, mold in the tub/shower, holes in the wall and the list goes on and on! We asked for a discount but were told they couldn’t because we booked thru a 3rd party (Expedia). We paid over $200 for this mess. So disappointed in Expedia that they would even partner with a hotel of this status."
