"The quality inn & suites in Lufkin Texas is poorly managed and not properly cleaned up to the standards of a good hotel. I stayed recently on may 18th 2026 and found ticks in the room by the shower and when brought up they tried to just kill it and not do anything about it..watch where you book..sometimes cheaper isn’t better."

"The cabin was great! It was well stocked with everything you need for a quiet get away. We especially appreciated the coffee! The A/C worked great. Enjoyed cooking on the grill on the deck. Great Lake views. I will be back, hopefully with a little less wind in the forecast. The check-in process was great and Kevin was very helpful."

"This is a factual report, and not an emotional one. The manager is a kind, helpful person, but is the sole operator. I was in a room, which when I walked in was clean-looking. There was a light on, I had food in my hand, so I didn't bother to turn on any others. I sat on the bed to eat as there was no chair in the room. When I finished, I prepared to go to sleep because I got in late, I noticed flying insects at the top of the vanity mirror. It was only about 2 or 3, at first. So, I took care of them thinking maybe they flew in when I walked in. But after I disposed of them more appeared. I proceeded to turn on all the lights in the room because it just seemed like they were coming from somewhere in the ceiling, and then I noticed that there were more insects in different parts of the room in the ceiling. This is when I checked my bed, and found something, don't know what it was, but something in the bed along with hair follicles. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room, explaining the situation. The manager gave me another room, but it was right next to the last room. I walked into that room, turned on all the lights, and proceeded to check the room. I only found one insect, but it was clear, on the wall, that other people had encountered large insects as they were splattered on different parts of the wall. You get what you pay for, so take this with a grain of salt."

"Stayed here previously without issues. This time was different. First room had an awful smell. Staff did change our room. Second room also had a very odd smell (like maple syrup) but was not disgusting like the first. When showering, we noticed mold on ceiling (took pics). Breakfast next morning was luke-warm to cold. I even asked to refill the sausage gravy because it was empty, but it was cold. Left message for manager to call me. No call received after 4 days. I called again and left a second message...24 hours later still not call back. Disappointing."
