"The breakfast was nothing special but still nice it was offered, everything seemed fresh. The staff were decent. The building though seems to be in need of some serious repairs, rotting steps, sunken floors (which filled with water due to it raining during our visit) the grout in the tiles, bathroom/shower/tub were all chipping or had mold present. The plumbing leaks in the under ground parking. The elevators either didn’t work or were very obviously never cleaned. Our comforter also had blood stains on them so doubt that has been washed in awhile…"

"The service seems great as our check in was easy and smooth. Very nice front desk attendant. The location is quiet, which is great. The free parking was a plus. We were fine with simple amenities, but where we were unhappy was the cleanliness and bed comfort. The base boards and corners were not clean. I understand it’s 2 star level motel, but it was gross to see hair and lint plastered to the base boards. There was a long hair on the wall in the bathroom and a previous guest’s eye mask near the bed. My husband told me afterwards that he picked black hairs (long hair) off the sheets. He didn’t tell me as he knew I would freak out although if he had I would have discussed this with the front desk our first night. The bath towels smelled. The bed was hard, which meant back pain all night long. Maybe some rooms were better than others, but for $414 + $20 more once checked in for 2 nights…it’s a lot for what we experienced. I know it’s spring break, Monterey, and inflation, but still can’t justify. We checked out before night 2 as we decided we would rather be home. "

"Did not meet expectations. Facility needs more upkeep and general maintenance, mostly on the exterior and outdoor areas. Stayed in building Q, which had litter and some trash in the open hallway for the 3 nights we were there. The 2 bedroom queen with patio room was spacious and pretty nice I side, except for the numerous spots where the wallpaper was peeling. The dirty dusty grimy patio, and the shower head that wouldn't stay in place (pole kept dropping down). Pool was a nice temperature, but there were no towels available (sometimes for hours, 2 of the 3 nights). Restaurant onsite was pricey but pretty tasty. Pickle ball courts were abundant and free to borrow equipment to play."
