"The staff was amazing! Like unbelievably amazing!
Greeted at the dock, luggage taken care of, greeted with fresh watermelon juice, chef cooked such delicious meals (dessert included), housekeeping cleaned 2-3 times a day, cooper hooked us up with tours, everything was great and relaxing.
3 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to the national park, 5 minute walk to the village. "
"Every member of the staff was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to make my stay the best I could possibly be. The food was delicious. the tours were personal and led by very knowledgeable guides. If you don’t have time to do all of the activities, and if you’re there for nature, I recommend skipping the jungle hike to the top of mountain. It’s no more than a walk up a bunch of steps to a lookout point."
"Tremendous accommodation for 3 nights in Tortuguero. The lodge sits squarely between the ocean and the canal, a two minute walk between them. There was such an open, relaxed, spacious feel to the beautiful grounds and sitting areas and even a hammock-filled gazebo by the river for napping. Lovely and helpful staff, passionate and extraordinary guide Daniel, amazing iguanas and basilisks everywhere, fantastic restaurant ambience and breakfast, large, clean and airy rooms with a great huge open...
"The staff at this hotel are nothing short of incredible. They go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of. We did all the tours with their partner Tuanis Tours and found the guides knowledgeable and fun. All the tours went on a little longer because the guides were determined to make sure we saw all animals possible. They even made the tours enjoyable the few times we got caught in the rain. The hotel was also super accommodating and helpful when a storm...
"We had 4 HUGE roaches in our room when we arrived! My husband had to kill them; just so we could sleep & feel comfortable-still was hard bc we were wondering if more would come out at night & crawl all over us while sleeping!
Next night we had a lizard on our pillows before bedtime. Plus; safety wise we had No glass on the windows had to sleep with only screens on windows! Only a ceiling fan; as they don’t offer air conditioning.
The walking trail on the property is really run down & full of...
