"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

"Nice place. Huge open living/dining room and large kitchen. Getting to the 2nd-floor bedroom may be tricky if you have mobility issues. There is a skinny spiral staircase.(You may not need the 2nd floor b/c there is a first-floor bedroom).I recommend hiking up to the Sierra Buttes fire lookout station while you are there, especially if you are not afraid of heights.
