"A beautiful renovated room just inside the city wall which was very convenient for parking & close for luggage. I didn’t realize it was self check-in so missed chatting with staff in person. WhatsApp communication with the team was excellent though in recommending and booking us for a couple of winery tours which we really enjoyed. Breakfast is in a bakery around the corner so needed to pay extra for fruit & yogurt instead of pastry for GF husband even after asking about options before booking....

"We had 3 rooms. None had Air Conditioning working. They assured us that by night, A/c would be working. Didn’t happen. We Were sent to a different hotel at 10:00 pm. The replacement hotel was 30 minutes and three towns away from Montepulsiano through mountain winding roads. It just killed our three days visit to Montepulciano having to drive back and forth everytime we needed to go to hotel and back for reserved meals and activities."

"La Chiusa is beautiful, staff are very nice and the location fantastic; views from the property and situated next to Montifollonico with access to grocery store, pharmacy and super local restaurant (13 Gobbi). Rooms had a fridge but no kettle, coffee maker or even cups or glasses which was odd and would make a big positive difference so that you can make a hot drink or sip your own wine while enjoying the view! If you’re a foodie you will love the onsite restaurant, but it is a limited menu so...

"An absolutely perfect stay. The resort is intimate with beautiful rooms, a stunning pool where you can watch the sun set under the Tuscan hills. The gardens are fragrant and lovely. Our breakfast was the perfect start to the day. We also loved the wine tasting."

It's about 25 minutes from Montepulciano but it's an easy drive and country roads. has the advantage of being 20 minutes from Castiglione del Largo and Lago Trasimeno. Staff were very helpful."
