The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, clean and comfortable room, convenient valet parking. Easy access to public transportation, local restaurants, and concert venues.
The building is very cool, centrally located to all of my favorite spots in Wicker Park, and conveniently located near the Blue Line for easy access. The room is spotlessly clean and had a nice view of the city. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Will definitely recommend and would stay here again.
this hotel is so unique...the staff is outstanding! its located in a vibrant area, with no shortages of foods or actvities...wonderful stay! ill be back!!
Large room, clean bedding, robes, and towels. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Great location and awesome amenities. Small rooftop pool, bars, restaurants, and cafes. Kid friendly but also not a noisy hotel. Great location for Wrigley Field and street festivals. Will definitely visit again when needing to stay in the city!
It was so quiet on the hotel side and I was right next to the elevator. They had a white noise machine in the room but I didn't think I needed it (except one morning from outside noise). BEST AMENITIES I love Le Labo. If I could ask for something it would be a washable rug for next to the bed. The floor seemed a touch grimy...BUT they provided slippers so it was great. I'll stay here again (really I'd only stay here from now on) because unless you are just 100% Chicago tourist and want to stay by the museums, this hotel is the best hotel in the best location of the city. You can even get off the train and not have to cross the street to get to the front door.
I think the Robey is quintessential Chicago vibes, a converted old bank/insurance bldg that has maintained the old world charm while furnishing it with an industrial mid century taste. The staff are super nice, the cafe food is excellent, the blue line train stop is one block away, the neighborhood has great restaurants, shopping, night life and conveniences. The rooftop pool is a fun place to hang out when the weather allows. Avoid the room over the cayote bar on the 2nd floor if you want to sleep. I have stayed in many of the rooms, and while I definitely have preferences, all were well appointed and consistent in their good upkeep, comfy beds and amenities. Highly recommend.
My husband and I shared a lovely weekend at this property. We loved being able to valet our vehicle and just find everything we needed within walking distance. Hotel staff were so lovely. Having the pool open early for hotel guests was divine!
We always stay at The Roby if we can when in Chicago. It’s right on the blue line in Wicker Park/Bucktown, so very convenient to O’Hare. Rooms are nicely designed, especially the larger annex loft rooms. The main restaurant is convenient and quite good and the rooftop bar is not to be missed for its outdoor space and views. Staff are wonderful.
The hotel staff was so friendly, attentive and accommodating. The restaurants and bars are incredibly convenient and have excellent food and beverages. The hotel is in a cool, walkable area with restaurants and shops.
Staff is great at this hotel. We really enjoyed the rooftop bar, although we would like to see the hours extended to open before 5 PM. Great location and great places to stay. We would do it again.
I get the industrial vibe, but I wish the menu ties were better to soften the experience. The sheets were so scratchy and cheap, the bed was hard, the ac noisy, and the lighting confusing and dim.
Nice to have a neighborhood location and it was mostly quiet. I just wish it was a little more comfortable
Our stay was excellent! While we didn’t take advantage of the breakfast or restaurants available to us in the hotel, we loved the clean and comfortable room, location of the hotel, the unique designs, and the friendly staff. Whenever we go back to Chicago, we will definitely stay here again!
