    Centrally located in the heart of Old Town. Literally a 2 block walk to Lincoln Park & North Avenue beach! The surrounding blocks are LOADED with bars, restaurants, shopping. You are in the A+ location of Chicago!

    - Free street parking (sometimes hard to find). Paid parking is available for a dedicated garage spot 1 block away from the property for approx. $25 a day.

One Month Stay

Place was in good location, and overall stay was fine, but there were key items that weren’t accurately described, and host lacked communication overall. AC didn’t work, slept in 78° every evening, and even after communicating the issue, nothing was resolved. Washer & dryer were listed as “in unit,” yet were in basement of building where it was shared amongst other tenants & barber shop (beard/hair clippings were found in our “clean sheets”) and feet away from multiple rat sightings/trash piles. Fridge water system didn’t work, and the Brita didn’t have a filter that worked properly, toaster also didn’t work, even though listed in description. Code to exterior door was changed during stay, and no notification was given. Stranded outside until host replied with new code. Tv services weren’t available as mentioned, so had to log into our own streaming apps. Loved staying in Old Town, but the listing & communication could’ve been a lot better.

The location was amazing! We were able to walk to many restaurants, including Starbucks for my daughter. Old Chicago street was around the block and had many fine dining and pubs to choose from. We brought our own electric scooters and were close enough to all other places in downtown, scooting was the majority of our transportation . We even scooted to Chinatown for lunch. We parked at the Piper Alley parking ramp, which was very convenient in location. However, I reserved the entire stay time frame and didn’t realize I couldn’t come and go as I pleased during that time, so I had to pay again when I returned. We only experienced one hiccup, which was with communication with the host - I could see they sent a message through VRBO, but when I clicked on the link, VRBO website told me I wasn’t connected to that trip. Through a call to VRBO customer service, they said that happens on occasion when booking through Orbitz. Customer service was able to send me the messages and the host continued communication through my email vs VRBO. Overall I highly recommend this location and would happily stay again and again.

Dan was very responsive and easy to communicate and solved the minor issues we had smoothly and quickly. The location is great, though parking was really challenging, even with the recommendations given by Dan, possibly since it was a weekend where the Old Town art fair was happening. The kitchen is stocked for cooking with all the utensils needed.

Long Term Stay

Nice apartment. Gate doesn’t lock and stairwell is ratty. Other folks and barbershop were quite noisy at times. Generally, though, it’s spacious and close to all the action on Wells St.

Great location and worth it just for that alone. The property was very clean and instructions were very detailed. The kitchen is updated and has MOST things that you would need to cook but was missing some supplies like pot holders. Linens were limited (no extra blankets or towels) and the pillows were extremely thin. However, I would definitely stay again just because of the proximity to old town, bus stops, and Lincoln park. Thanks for a nice stay!
