"The Royal is always amazing the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean The restaurant was very nice The food was really nice and I was very impressed"

"When I arrived there was a complete muddle with my booking. My room had been assigned to someone else!! They said I was not listed as a guest and had I actually booked at another hotel. It turned out that my name was on the list but had been crossed off, when, what should have been my room was assigned to someone called Ross. I was kept standing around in reception while this mess was sorted out. I had just driven up from Liverpool and I was not impressed by any of this. Apart from this initial foul up the hotel was a very pleasant place to stay and I had a lovely breakfast on the Saturday morning before I left. This hotel is really convenient for access to Carnforth Station from which I travelled on an excursion to Whitby."

"When we arrived , the steak house at the front and reception was all closed, and looked abandoned. There was a number to call for a remote check-in. Lodges / rooms were at at back of property.. parking included. all straightforward. Pleasantly surprised. Large rooms TV coffee all that was needed. spotlessly clean. Met the owner. If you stay there, for the price. Do not worry.. Once in your room. everything you need and good price."
