Our house is located on the top hillside in the dreamy and family-friendly place Canyamel. You enjoy a dream view of the bay, the sea and into the country. When the sun rises in the morning next to Menorca (or sometimes the moon in the evening), this is an unforgettable moment.
Due to the loose development and dense forest in our street you can enjoy undisturbed and mostly secluded your vacation.
On 2 levels, the house has 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms with showers (the upper ensuite), a guest toilet, a living room with separate dining area, a kitchen (with American fridge including ice cube dispenser and a stove with 4 plates, of which 2 with gas operated) and a laundry room (with washer and dryer).
All rooms are comfortably furnished. From all bedrooms you have a fantastic sea view and all of them are equipped with AC.
The 3 different terraces invite everyone to linger and also offer larger groups the opportunity to find an undisturbed place at any time.
On the upper terrace facing the bay there is a large dining table and a Weber gas grill. On the lower covered terrace by the pool there is a cozy lounge corner and a hammock. Spread out on the terraces are 8 deck chairs.
One of the bedrooms has an annex separated by a light and opaque curtain. In this annex are two mattresses that can be used as a sofa or sleeping. For example, a family with children can spend a good night together - we can confirm that from our own experience! The life of the day takes place anyway on the (partly covered) terraces.
You can use Wi-Fi via fiber-optic cable, which makes streaming on our Smart TV or working on your laptop relaxed and fast. You can also control the Sonos boxes via the WLAN. Netflix is pre-set on Smart TV and available for free.
The approximately 28sqm saltwater pool can be heated to about 28 degrees if desired (against settlement of the resulting electricity costs). Directly at the pool there is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
Of course, we use a decalcification system in the house, which is why the water can be safely used for showering and cooking.
If you want to come in winter in our house, you can look forward to warm rooms thanks to the existing gas heating. In addition, the house has an automatic ventilation system with hot / cold air and a fireplace, which warms up the living room and dining room comfortably and neatly. Additional firewood we can reorder for a surcharge.
We like to rent to families, because we have 2 small children. You will find a toddler equipment (cot, children's bedding, high chair, baby bath, potty buggy, ...), toys, games, sand toys, aquatic animals, etc. We are happy to share everything with you, because we have always appreciated, even on vacation, that we did not have to bring everything with us.
The place Canyamel is now one of the insider tips on the island. In recent years, four 5-star hotels have been built in the village. The bay is picturesque and family friendly. The beach is fine-sanded and the sea is flat. There are two beach bars directly on the sandy beach. For families, it's very convenient that the kids next door can play in sight in the sand, while the adults let the day fade away.
In the village there is a fine and small selection of local restaurants. In the surrounding area you will find very good Agroturismo as well as Michelline star cuisine. We are happy to give you some individual tips if you are interested.
On the Costa de Canyamel, where our house is located, there is a picturesque little bay with two small natural beaches. Here you can snorkel very well or jump from the rocks in the crystal clear water. Adjacent there is a nice restaurant where you can strengthen yourself before or after swimming.
Canyamel offers a tennis court and a golf club. Three other golf clubs are located in the area. On the beach you can rent pedal boats and SUPs.

Since the house is located on the top slope, it is very important that families with small children inform their children about the risks. In our house, 4 children have grown up since birth and we enjoyed every holiday to the fullest and without any problems.
But with children care must be taken that they do not bend over the parapet so that there is no danger of falling.
In addition, there is a risk of slipping on the patio tiles when they are wet. Especially children have to be informed, so that nothing happens to them when they are romping around the pool.
