" had a good two night stay at Tŷ Newport. The hotel was as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, it had a kettle and the courtesy tray. The bathroom was a spacious with shower only. The noise insulation was very good. The motorway was running very close to the hotel and yet there was no noise. All the people at the reception were very friendly and professional. Also the barman was nice and polite. The only two little suggestions for improvement are: It would be useful to have a mini fridge in the room as well as some hand and body lotion in the bathroom. I liked the green initiative they had: If you did not need to have your towels changed every day, you got a voucher for a free drink at the bar. If I were go back to Newport, I would happily stay at Tŷ Newport again."

"Great location to the conference I was attending"

"Breakfast was served in the main hotel, as the breakfast sometimes served in PAD for Manor House guests was closed. Breakfast was brilliant and sausages a stand out. Four poster room in the Manor House was great, nicely decorated and comfortable. Only niggle was getting ice from both room service and main hotel bar was near impossible. The handbook in the room said ice machines on every floor, which was clearly only the main hotel and not the Manor House. Tried then getting ice from room service who sent only an ice bucket pointless. Then went to the main hotel bar Merlin’s where bar staff questioned me where the ice was going. I’ve never had to justify why or where I wanted ice in a hotel. Use of the forum spa was fantastic and both relaxing and enjoyable. Lots of space and wasn’t too busy through our stay which was a bonus. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend to all."

"Great location, beautifully decorated room and good quality bedding, towels, toiletries etc. However .. our room (9) was TINY .. the gap on one side of the bed was approx 8 inches between the bed and the wall so very difficult to navigate safely particularly at night without stubbing your toe on the one side or bumping into to door handle on the other. There was no where to put a suitcase to unpack other than on the bed or the floor which was difficult for us. The en-suite was tastefully done but no where to put toiletries and only one tiny glass shelf above the basin. The shower cubicle was also very small indeed. Bedside tables had lamps and a radio or phone so again no space for much else. The space was just too tight - It’s really not a suitable room for two people. If we had been staying more than one night we would have asked to move rooms."

"Owned and managed by the traditional Bull pub. The loft was behind the pub carpark - very convenient. Ever your car registration at the bar. Room was spacious warm clean and tidy with basic kitchenette. A had a good deal on this room, but at full price it's still excellent value.Make sure ou visit the pub. "

"This is my 2nd stay in this apartment and once again would recommend. A very roomy apartment with a good TV, shower and very comfy bed. It is well equipped and was very clean too. Easy parking outside and simple check in at the Olde Bull Inn. Local shops nearby and good size supermarket about 15 mins away- perfect."
