While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. The kitchen is well stocked with decent cookware and crockery making cooking easy and pleasant. Having use of a washer and dryer was a huge help. The entire property was spotless. "Lovely stay at the cottage. We really enjoyed our time – it was peaceful, comfortable, and just what we needed. Everything was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. "

"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! "
