"if you're looking for a full on Spa Hotel this is not it, the pool is small and the sauna and steam rooms are tiny and there are chairs around the pool but no loungers due to no space. That said I enjoyed those things a lot and at one point had it all to myself.
The accommodation is in either the very grand old building or the travel inn style block at the back, one side looks out onto lovely countryside the other the car park.
Thr room was lovely with a slightly compact shower room but I had a really comfortable night.
the food in the restaurant was great with really attentive service.. thank you 😊
Breakfast was also really good, great range and plentiful..honestly I couldn't eat another thing..
The icing on the cake is the setting.. I sat outside as the sun went down with a beer on the patio outside the bar..you just see trees and grass.. just perfect.
The staff all great all the way through, all requests met with a positive response and a smile.
Don't book direct its much cheaper via the obvious websites and just remember its also a wedding venue so check if there is one when you are staying and ensure you get a room furthest away.. I did and it was fine.. no real noise.
In short.. was actually sad to leave I felt really relaxed.. I will be back 100%
