"We had a wonderful stay at The Marmara Taksim in the Flying Carpet Suite, which was stunning with amazing views over the Golden Horn and Bosphorus. The suite was beautifully presented and very clean.
The service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful and professional. A special mention must go to Fatma, the Guest Relations Manager, who was fantastic and went out of her way to help us during our stay.
Koray from the concierge team was also excellent and arranged a great sunset boat trip, restaurant booking and spa treatment. The Turkish bath and massage experience at the hotel spa was excellent.
Club Lounge access was a lovely benefit with snacks, drinks and great views. Housekeeping was excellent, and we also really enjoyed Café Marmara, which had excellent food, desserts and chocolates. A 15% discount for hotel guests was a bonus.
The rooftop bar is worth visiting for the views, although quite pricey. The only disappointment was that the swimming pool was not opening until after we left.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend the hotel. The location is excellent, right by Taksim Square and very convenient for exploring Istanbul - particularly easy access to the funicular to take you down to the coast (and more importantly back up!)."
