"This hotel was modern chic but very minimal when it comes to the aesthetic of the rooms. My only complaint was we did not have enough space to put our stuff out with two people in the room. Ideally we would have had a wider or longer shelf for us to put our stuff on. It was a small room so eating in the room was challenging but we may do. And it fit perfectly for our purpose, very close to the train station and the city center airport. I really liked the lobby and the photo booth however I must say the photo booth does need more instructions as our first photo was ruined by not knowing it was about to take our photo. The price for the photo booth is not unreasonable but we had to pay twice to get a good set of photos that we liked. Super cute and fun aesthetic I would definitely come back and recommend to others! "

"I stayed here for nine nights. Hotel is conveniently located near the DLR train. The room was super clean. Housekeeping did an amazing job everyday. Staff was this hotel was very hospitable and welcoming. The restaurant has nice menu options. Ate dinner there a few times. Breakfast is buffet options. Hot and cold foods. No complaints about breakfast. I don’t drink alcohol but they have a nice bar. I would recommend this place to stay. The area is not busy. It’s secluded and quiet. "

"Best Western Thurrock Hotel is a good hotel if you need a place to stay and relatively cheap. It’s in a good location for Lakeside shopping centre, the M25 and the dartford bridge. The entrance to the hotel itself needs refreshing as the road is damaged with slight potholes so if visiting make sure to go slowly. Once on the grounds of the hotel there was good amount of parking and wheelchair friendly walkway to get into the hotel with a ramp. The reception on arrival is lovely and very welcoming, the hotel itself is very large and has a lot of bedrooms and suites as they host weddings. Short walk upstairs to the rooms, no lift so be aware when booking if you cannot do stairs. The rooms themselves need a really good renovation, they are very outdated, but a good large size. The first room (121) we checked into was horrible. The pipes for the taps were very loud and the smell from the drains were potent. We spoke to reception and they moved us with ease and they were fantastic about that, finding another room quickly and letting us view it first before choosing due to the past room being bad. The second room we checked into was great, minus the outdated carpet and VERY squeaky floorboards which definitely need to be looked at. The bathroom at a good size and renovated well with no bad smells or stains. The bed was comfy and it was a lovely night to sleep. Would stay again but this hotel definitely needs upgrading :) "

"The room was cosy and the staff made two swans and put petals around the bed. So kind and it was lovely the spa. I have used the gym and spa many times as a member until I moved. First time staying though and loved it we did."
