View this place as a high-class hostel rather than as a "hotel" and you are unlikely to have much to complain about. This is accommodation designed to provide a place to sleep rather than a place to enjoy a stay. The double rooms are very small, not large enough to fit a double bed, hence each room is provided with a set of bunk beds. The room also contains a shower cubicle (water pressure and temperature adequate), a separate toilet, a wash-basin and a mini-refrigerator. The rooms are modern and very clean. Many of the rooms have no window. The minimalist design and the inexplicably dim lighting design made my room feel rather like a prison cell. The room had a chair, but nothing at desk height to sit and eat at, for example. No kettle is provided, although there is a coffee bar in the foyer from which you can purchase hot drinks. The TV only shows Thai-speaking channels. This place is great as a very inexpensive place to sleep in central Bangkok (it's about 12 minutes walk to the nearest BST) for a night or maybe two. I had booked 5 Nights at Chocolate Box Mint, but by day three the dark, dungeon-like atmosphere of my room was sending me stir-crazy and I checked out.

Kom tillbaka för andra gången hit. Tyvärr fungerade inte uppkopplingen på Wifi alls denna gång. Jag hade också bokat inklusive frukost på hotels.com men det visade sig egentligen att boendet slutat med redan för två år sedan. Först tyckte personalen att jag själv skulle kontakta bokningsagenten. Men sedan erbjöd det en gratis frukost på det fristående cafet i lobbyn och fyra timmar senare check out. Frukosten var fantastisk god eftersom det var riktigt surdegsbröd och den senare tiden för att checka ut passade mig perfekt som kompensation. Jag är supernöjd igen!
