Stayed here for convenience to roam around Banff downtown and Banff national parks/lakes. Price is affordable on how close are you to places and accessibility to buses or shuttles around the area. The lodge is also clean and well-maintained by staff. I really had an amazing stay here.

This hotel was not our first choice and this is a reminder to myself to book early! Bow View Lodge is centrally located and the rooms are a good size. That being said, it needs a good renovation and to be brought up to the 21st century. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

From the moment we arrived at bow view lodge we felt at home. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They gave advice when needed and were so helpful. The hotel is in prime location and just a minutes walk into the town not to mention it sits right on the side of the beautiful bow river. I can’t wait to visit again. Banff is out of this world, the views, the wildlife and the people are first class. The hotel room was well stocked with amenities, warm, and kept so clean by the staff every day. Thank you for the best stay for my special birthday. I hope it won’t be too long before I return.

I did run of the house and got a Queen size bed with a nice sofa and the river outside my balcony windows. A simple and comfortable stay. A 2 minute walk from downtown where all the restaurants and shops are.

Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professtional. Sadly I had to cut my last stay short and checked out on my final night. Loved the location and close proximity to downtown. Beautiful surrounding around the hotel, especially the lovely walkway behind the hotel and water.

The rooms are clean, the staff helpful and efficient. The beds were comfy and the location is great. The downside- it is a very old property, the bathtub was peeling, the flat carpet and loose wallpaper may be 20-30+ years old. The porches offer no privacy. Good place if you just need somewhere to sleep and you like the sound of the Pacific railroad trains and elk bugling (we liked this background noise).

The building itself is very old and I dont think has been reburbished since it was built. Whilst evrything was very old, it was all very clean and everything worked well. It was a good location and the food and faclities in the sister hotel Banff Park Lodge were very good. It was ideal for a one night stop. Very expensive but then everywhere in Banff is extortionate.

Superb location!! Right beside the Bow River, it is a 5 mins walk to downtown Banff (shopping and lots of dining options). The IGA supermarket is very close by as well. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi was pretty good. The building itself, however, is an old woodframe structure and you can hear people walking/running upstairs. We could also hear the trains in the evenings too (before 11pm). Not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind for light sleepers.

This hotel is a great location, next to the river and a ten minute walk to Banff Avenue. The hotel is older looking, but, …. it was kept clean, and the staff were very nice. There is no dining onsite, but fantastic coffee and baked goods at Wild Flour, and fast food at Tim Horton’s, both a five minute walk.
