"I absolutely loved our stay here. The hosts were amazing. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was really really nice. We were going to the KEE to Bala and it was 5-minute walk. Couldn't have been more perfect. If we ever come back we would definitely stay here again"

"We had a wonderful stay at Birchwood and really enjoyed our time in Bala! The house was exceptionally clean, spacious and very well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of room for our family, including three full bathrooms upstairs and a half bath on the main floor. The beds were very comfortable, and there was an abundance of bath towels, linens, beach towels and shower toiletries.The location is fantastic—an easy walk into Bala for groceries, shops and restaurants while still offering a beautiful waterfront setting. The sandy, shallow walkout into the lake was especially enjoyable for young children.Communication with our host was excellent throughout our stay. He was extremely responsive to all our questions and went above and beyond when we mentioned that our daughter has celiac disease by providing brand-new cookware for us to use. This was incredibly thoughtful and very much appreciated. The property is clearly well cared for, and our host also made sure our firewood was replenished throughout our stay. A paddleboat was available for guests to use, although no additional watercraft or water toys were provided. We brought our own inflatables, so this was not an issue for us, but kayaks, canoes or additional paddleboards would be a wonderful addition to the property.Overall, Birchwood was a beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained place to spend our family vacation. We had a lovely stay and would happily recommend it."

"The cottage, bunky, and property were very beautiful and in excellent condition! The dock, firepit area, and rooftop deck (above the boathouse) were in like-new condition. The sandy beach was beautiful and was ideal for our 3 year old grandson. The property was very private. Fishing was great right off the dock and the boat slip was ideal for docking the boat we rented. We had great weather all week long and our whole family greatly enjoyed our cottage vacation. Highly recommended - 10 out of 10! Looking forward to next year!"

"Convenient spot for access to Bala. Very friendly and communicative host. We enjoyed our stay. The property is a bit difficult to find initially but once we were checked in, everything was fine. If you are not arriving by car and bringing your own linens, you will need to request linens, towels, etc. from host. They were very accommodating. Could not access the wifi and there is no TV, so plan accordingly if these things are important to you. We were there for a getaway so this was not an issue for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"Thank you so much for opening your beautiful cottage to our families. We truly enjoyed our stay! The cottage was clean, cozy, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, and we made so many wonderful memories together. Thank you for your warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. One small suggestion would be to add air conditioning upstairs, as it can get quite warm during the summer. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We would definitely love to stay here again one day and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable escape. "

"Stayed at the property to work on strategic business planning. It had a great work table overlooking the lake, beautiful scenery and comfortable rooms. The couch in the lower level of the property was very comfortable, and also had great views over the lake."
