"Very friendly and helpful staff, simple and filling breakfast provided. Though a small hotel with a cafe, the room is cozy yet large enough for a whole family of 4-5 with all the amenities provided. It’s near the train station and a large 7-11 with surrounding good food and walking distance to all the places of interest. Although there’s no elevator, the staff had helped to bring up our luggage to the room as we explored Yufuin, since check in is after 4pm. Check out is very late though, till 5pm, hence it’s great for those who want to explore more or just make use of the onsen or lounge. Overall a very satisfying stay and highly recommended!"

"若いスタッフが一生懸命少人数で工夫して宿を運営している姿に好感が持てました。古民家の別棟を家族６人で利用。和室2部屋とベット2つが置かれた部屋がありトイレ2つ。洗面所3つ冷蔵庫2つが設置されている。食事も別棟内に用意してくれる。お風呂は予約制で数歩外を歩く必要があり天気の悪い日や足腰が弱い人は利用しづらい。他の客には一切会うことなくプライベート感を味わえる宿でした"

"The Fairfield by Marriott in Aso is a very comfortable hotel like the Fairfield in Nikko where my wife and I staid before. The rooms are clean, modern and with a lot of light coming in through a big window; comfortable enough that on a rainy day we decided to stay in the room almost all day. Personnel at the reception is very friendly and helpful.The restaurant selection in the area is not the greatest but there is a Lawson Station shop nearby. Additionally the hotel offers free coffee, tea etc. and sells some food items which can be heated in microwaves if necessary. The Fairfield is located near the local train station and has sufficient parking space if you come by car. "

"Everything is done correctly and attention to details are second to none. I would suggest they limit the age of young children as they can be noisy and annoying screaming and running around the resort."
