Now i lay my head to sleep

Ok enough. Older place in need of a remodel, update, and overhaul. Still it was clean and comfortable enough. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. It is no frills whatsoever but a good place to crash overnight.

Great hotel

Housekeeping was excellent. Very friendly, clean. Can't beat it for the price. I was there 9 days. Will definitely use it again when I'm in the area.

We wanted to stop and sleep on our drive back home from Florida.The doors were locked and there was no way to check in for at least 30 minutes. There was just a sign that said "be back soon." Check in itself took 20 minutes and we were even double charged. The bed had large stains on the sheets, there was pop stains on the wall and door, a bug in the stained tub crawling around, and the floors were sticky. The beds were damp and everything smelled like smoke, even though we had nonsmoking rooms. It was 0130 in the morning and there were many people awake with their doors open, music playing, and lots of people hanging out in the parking lot. We felt uncomfortable and gross. We ended up leaving after less than an hour and driving our remaining 12 hours straight home.

NEVER stay at Americas Best Value Inn !

Arrived at 11:30 pm to check in. Lobby door was locked with a sign that said someone would be right back. 30 minutes later as I was leaving to find another hotel a staff member arrived stating she was just starting her shift. No apology was offered as I stated a 30 minute wait outside in the cold was unacceptable. NEVER stay at Americas Best Value Inn !

It was very quiet. The rooms are older but they were clean. I didn't like that the WiFi was not password secured. I would stay again

Nice hotel close to the interstate

Receptionist was very thoughtful! When I checked in my room was upstairs and being I recently had knee surgery and I have very bad back pain. The receptionist noticed I was in severe pain when I walked in, so I checked in and asked if my room was downstairs she said no but I can see your in pain so you have a seat and I’ll find you a room downstairs. Not only did she give me a room downstairs but when I went to shower there’s a whirlpool tub in the bathroom so you know I had to take a bath! So thank you Miss Receptionist! Oh and for the same rate I book my stay!

Not sure we would stay there again but wanted to try America's Best Value Inn because we are staying at one on a return trip from a re-positioning Cruise in New Jersey in Sept.. 2017 and thought we should try it out.For the price in Athens, the room didn't compare to some of the places we have stayed on our way to Florida. The heating was very quiet, the room very clean, the bed comfortable, great hot water, the vanity sink cracked. There were many good aspects to the very basic room. No tissue though and the little tiny bugs on the tile floor by the vanity, and up in the corner ceiling in the shower and over the vanity were somewhat annoying.

Stay here if you have NO expectations

The room is fine for the price, but not worth it. The advertised "free breakfast" was coffee and prepackaged oatmeal cream pies in the lobby. We found a few bugs on the bathroom and on the wall. When the maid came by at 9 am to service the room, we were just getting up so she said she would come by later. She didn't, and marked up down as "requested no service". We later had to go to the office to request clean towns, in which we were told "we don't have any".

A place to lay your head...that's about it

The room was clean but it smelled like smoke although they asked if I wanted a non-smoking room which I did. Shower did not work properly and there was 1 bath towel for 2 people. Bedspread had a hole in it and picture above the bed had cracked glass. The breakfast was a joke. Little Debbie sticky buns and oatmeal pies. Had coffee which was not good and no orange juice. Staff was friendly but was told I overpaid for the room. I personally will not stay there again.

Terrible place

This was the worst place I have ever seen. The door couldn't be opened from the outside without having the manager hook up their special box each time. The TV would not come on. The sink had a constant drip and the sink was all stained rusty. The room was small and not usable. You may not like this review, but it is correct. I would never stay there!!!!

Hotel on it's last leg.

At check in, door key wasn't working would have to wait til next day for it to be fixed. TV didn't work. Sink had large rust spot and water constantly dripping. Roon was small. Staff didn't get message we were checking in a day early. Staff not very competent. We booked this with Expedia... won't use them again.

Hotel had recently undergone renovation; 2014, rooms were adequate, resonably clean, service was excellent, and location was convient to interstate. Not a lot of options as far as GOOD nearby restaurants.

Easy off I-75

Hotel was comfortable and had a friendly staff. Ice machine didn't work, room sink was cracked and stained and needed replaced. Continental breakfast was very poor...consisting of 3 inch honey buns and coffee...OJ in a gallon jug one morning but not the next four....sorry if you don't drink coffee. Owner didn't seem to take much pride in overall appeal or attention to detail. There are other hotels nearby and would suggest checking their rates on Hotels.com.

This was my second stay with this hotel. I rebooked because of price and convience. This second stay was actually better than the first. The room was set up differently with a king bed and the bathroom was nicer. The first visit I was given a room that was clearly a smoking room and it was horrible but this time the room smelled clean. The bed was a bit hard but other than that, it was a nice room and I was very happy with the overall experience.

everything was adequate except the "continental" breakfast. there was coffee and 2 kinds of little Debbie items. also, no ice machine, no pool. all we did was sleep there so it was fine. I don't think would want to stay there for a week on vacation.

Disgusting

The room was not clean it was filthy. It was non-smoking and when we pulled back the bedspreads there we're burn holes all over. Burn marks all over room. Dead bugs. We were in a hurry to find a room due to bad weather cost only $50 would not of paid $20. My question is how do these motels pass any type of inspection and are allowed to stay in business. Shame on Hotels.com for even listing these types of motels. Hopefully our review will help another family not to make this mistake.

Good value overall but hotel needs some updates

Overall the visit was satisfactory with low standards in mind. My room was suppose to be a non smoking and it smelled like horrible smoke. The bathroom area was run down and needed some major updates. You get what you pay for.
