"We loved our stay in this quirky hotel. The staff were amazing- helpful and courteous at all times. The restaurant was great and was clearly popular with non guests as well. We loved Limon, the Italian restaurant on the roof floor- the roof terrace bar was also a favourite. We didn’t manage to dip our toes in the pool as the area quickly filled up and there were no spare beds at the time we could go, but it is a lovely roof top feature. The building has been largely preserved in its original design and decor. There are, however, a few quirks with this which pulled it to 4* for me. The electric switches are 1930s and I found it difficult to work out which controlled what- there was no explanation in the bedroom in different languages to explain. Equally, I didn’t find the safe until the last night- it’s hidden in a drawer I never opened. The layout of the bedrooms is quirky with the toilet in its own room behind a door with a very strong pull to close. All that said, once I mastered it all, it was very comfortable and was cleaned daily to a high standard. We intend to return to Vienna as it is so beautiful, and will certainly return to the Grand Ferdinand. I would highly recommend it."

"The hotel is at very convenient location. Close to place to visit. - Clean hotel - Staff is super helpful - Manger went above and beyond to suggest us places to visit and details on public transit etc - Front desk Manager in morning shift went above and beyond to resolve our room issues we encountered on first day of our stay and in fact upgraded us for remaining stay - Courtesy Umbrellas were provided Definitely a hotel to recommend"

"The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the hotel is in an excellent location, close to the main attractions and within walking distance of almost everything. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, while the hotel itself is in a quiet area. A nice touch was the complimentary cold water, tea, apples, and candies near the reception area."
