  • Nestled within the golden triangle within a small village set along a rural country lane is this delightful character cottage. Surrounded by picturesque countryside this is the perfect base for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. Situated just 6 miles south of Ashbourne which is rich with character offering original cobbled lanes, old market stalls and Georgian buildings. It is also home to a good selection of restaurants, shops and traditional coaching inns. A little further north is the market town of Bakewell and the glorious Chatsworth House and Gardens. The National Trust Calke Abbey, Osmaston Park Estate, and the beautiful Foremark Reservoir are only a short drive away. Dovedale the Manifold Valley and Tissington, offer great cycling and walking opportunities. For children there are lots of attractions less than an hour from the cottage, Alton Towers including Water Park, Matlock Bath with Gulliver’s Kingdom and The Heights of Abraham with cable cars & caves, Derby Museum & Art Gallery, Crich Tramway Museum, Swadlincote Snow-sports Centre, Peak Wildlife Park at Leek and Twycross Zoo.


    Step into the cottage and wander through to the lounge which offers an imposing brick fireplace, comfy leather sofas to relax on and 55" TV and sound bar, Sony BluRay/DVD player, Sky Box (package with everything except Movies & Sport Packages), a cosy space to put your feet up and chill after a day exploring the area. The kitchen/diner is bright and airy and offers an electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer and dishwasher with a nearby dining table. Head up the stairs to the first floor, there is the master double bedroom with a comfortable memory foam mattress and a TV, and blessed pretty views over the surrounding fields. The twin bedroom also has memory foam mattresses and lovely views over the peaceful garden. Completing the property is the shower room with a powerful shower and WC.


    Relax in the garden which offers a table and chairs, perfect for dining alfresco. There is a lovely lawn surrounded by mature planting providing a peaceful place to relax. There are two off-road parking spaces available.
