  • Enjoy an easy Akumal vacation at La Bahia 3, a spacious beachfront condo overlooking beautiful Half Moon Bay.

    Located on the second floor, the condo has an open living, dining, and kitchen layout designed to take advantage of the Caribbean view. Large windows bring the scenery inside, while the private balcony gives your group a comfortable outdoor space for breakfast, drinks, or simply relaxing in the sea breeze.

    The primary bedroom has a King bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom has one Double bed and one Twin bed, along with its own private bathroom.

    Air conditioning is provided in both bedrooms and the living room.

    The living area includes comfortable seating and a Smart TV, while the full kitchen provides everything needed for meals at home.

    BEACH & OUTDOOR LIVING

    The private oceanfront terrace is furnished for relaxing and dining while overlooking Half Moon Bay.

    Downstairs, guests have direct access to the beach, along with lounge chairs and a shade palapa.

    Half Moon Bay is popular for snorkeling when weather and sea conditions allow. The seabed includes natural rocky and coral areas, so water shoes are recommended.

    LOCATION

    La Bahia is centrally located on Half Moon Bay, making it easy to explore Akumal without spending every outing in the car.

    Several restaurants are within walking distance, and Yal-Ku Lagoon and Akumal Bay are nearby. Tulum, cenotes, eco-parks, and other Riviera Maya attractions are also easy to reach by car.

Great location in Half Moon Bay and the condo was perfect for our family of 4! The AC worked great and the beds were comfy. Great view of sunrise every morning from the balcony too! Good snorkeling just out to the left of their little beach and a few great restaurants in walking distance to the condo.

Gorgeous views!

This was our second trip to stay in LaBahia #3 and we loved it as much this time as we did our first trip. The condo is clean and spacious, the staff wonderful and the view is outstanding!!! Amazing vacation

The condo was absolutely perfect. What a location! The food in the area is unbelievable. We rented bikes. We rented a golf cart. We loved the beach. Everything was perfect. The location of the beach is the best in the area. The condo is immaculate. You can’t go wrong with this place. The concierge was very helpful. All the people in the area and locals are very nice. We loved it!

Quiet, no crowds, had the beach pretty much for ourselves and beautiful views from the balcony. walking distance from la Vita Buena restaurant. Snorkeling directly from the front. It is a rocky sea floor and beach shoes are needed. We found a sandy path about 100 yards from La Bahia. Santa Cruz Cenote is awesome. The Maya Taco restaurant in Acumal pueblo, delicious food.

Pretty Much Perfect

The owners thought of everything to make it very comfortable with all the amenities one would need for staying there and doing some cooking (even thought I didn't cook there). Very comfortable bed, ceiling fans, ACs units... Very well decorated and just overall a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. My friends who were staying in neighboring-nearby condos thought mine was the best. Great location as well. Friends and I rented bikes and enjoyed the ride south over to the dive shop and restaurants. The onsite property managers (Alex and other guy) were very helpful when needed. I would highly recommend La Bahia #3 to all my friends.

Loved our stay here. Exactly as pictured and described. The beach was beautiful. There is snorkeling directly from the beach. Do bring water shoes and your own snorkel gear, though the unit has a basket of mismatched gear available. This a small condo building with about 8 units. There were always ample beach chairs available. There are a couple restaurants within a quarter mile to the north, and the town proper with a large number of restaurants about a mile to the south. We walked, but golf cart and bike rentals were available as well. Our driver did have some trouble finding the place; it does not seem to have a fixed address.

Great Beach Experience

I would highly recommend this Condo in Akumal. It had a true Mexican vibe and was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfy. Two bathrooms were a plus. Unfortunately, the seaweed moved in a month early but that did not take away from the view and our walks on the beach. Restaurants are close enough to walk and a small grocery was practically across the street. Our concierge was very helpful and actually found us a taxi for 5am when the taxi that we had paid for at the airport did not show up. Do not buy a roundtrip from the airport. Lesson learned. The one thing I would recommend if you do not have a car is to rent a golf cart. They are very handy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Beach is a no go. Sea grass up to three feet tall stacked on beach. Smells terrible.

All though this is a beautiful condo, this will be my last visit. The last two times visiting Half Moon Bay have been disappointing. Sea grass is stacked on the beach three feet high and emits a disgusting aroma. If you are looking for a beautiful white sandy beach you will not find it in Half Moon Bay.

LaBahia #3 for Me!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Akumal is one of our favorite Mexican locales. We travel to the Riviera Maya frequently and have stayed up and down the coast. Akumal is a charming community not yet overtaken by overdevelopment and modernization so if you are looking for a more 'original' place to visit, come to Akumal. This was our second stay at LaBahia #3. The new ownership has made many wonderful improvements and updates this second time around. Unit 3 is spacious with breathtaking views from the deck. It is lovely to hear the waves lap (or crash) on the shore and you can hear them anywhere in the unit. We loved the daily maid service included in the rental fee so the place was always tidy and clean, and the management company staff, located on site, were all exceedingly helpful no matter what the question or need. With only 8 units in the building it was easy to feel right at home. It is located about mid-point of Half Moon Bay so the location could not be better. From LaBahia you can walk to several restaurants nearby and even into town to take in more of the local flavor. We'll be back.

Beautiful condo in great location

I have been to Akumal, including Half Moon Bay, many times. This was my first stay at this property. It was clean, well appointed, secure, had excellent service from the office and housekeeping staff, and is on one of the nicest sections of beach on Half Moon Bay. When we were leaving for another city, my son buried his special stuffed animal in the sofa cushions and we didn't realize it when doing a final sweep. A few hours later I called the property manager and he had the housekeeping staff locate it and set it aside at the office for me. When we came back through Akumal several days later, it was waiting for us at the office. I cannot thank them enough.

Great spot right on the beach

Lovely condo right on the beach. The place was clean and comfortable and the location was great. Loved being able to hear the waves and walk right out onto a quiet beach. Highly recommend!

Wonderful for our family!

We loved this place. It is the perfect size for a family of five. Plenty of closet and storage space. The kitchen is well-appointed with all the essentials. The view is amazing! Marcial, the caretaker, was very friendly and resourceful. The place is very clean and bright. We loved it!!!

Good spot, but maybe not in July

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything works in the condo. It’s cute and bright. Love the tiles in the bathroom. Made me smile when I went in. Having a patio with chairs out there is a nice way to view the water. The reason I suggest not coming in July, is the sea weed is so bad. There is no swimming and I’ll come all day and the seaweed is mounted several feet high. It begins to smell after days and days of decomposing in the sun. I feel terrible for the locals because not only do they live with it for the entire season, but it’s bound to affect tourism. One huge asset with this condo is having the guys downstairs at the front desk. A lot of Airbnb rentals don’t have this. They’re helpful,and got a couple items taken care of very quickly. They can answer all your questions too. There are more than a few awesome cenotes in the area to go to in addition to some fantastic restaurants.

Cozy beach condo

We loved this cozy condo on the beach. It was perfect for our family of four. Don Miguel was a gracious host, and Rosa kept it clean and comfortable. Very well managed. Highly recommended!

Feels Like Home with an Ocean View

We felt right at home at this place. It was so nice! The beds were comfy and we had everything we could possibly need. However, sargasso was very bad and had begun to smell. The management company actually moved us to another home. Once we got to the new place, we actually missed this place! We had only been there a day and went through withdrawal. Akumal is such a neat little village and everyone is so nice! Great food, fun, and sun!

Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! From check in to check out! Everyone was super attentive. We had an issue with the electricity and they were right on top of it! The hosts were very responsive! :) I would definitely come back and stay! Housekeeping was there and came every other day which was perfect for my mother and myself!

Wonderful get away!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 2 adult daughters and us had an amazing time at La Bahia. The kitchen was well stocked, unit clean and detail to fun. The staff on site were helpful with all of our needs. The only downfall was the seagassam had moved in the day we arrived. Not the problem of the unit

Just what we were looking for

We had a great time and the condo was the perfect size for the 3 of us. It was nice and clean and had the traditional Mexican look that we enjoy. Again this trip we didn't rent a car so the bicycles we rented from the office worked perfectly to get around. The Sargassum (seaweed) was a bit of a mess in Half Moon Bay but our grounds keepers kept our beach nice and clean every morning. :) The water was somewhat rough while we were there so we spent a few days snorkeling at Yal Ku Lagoon and Turtle Bay and even did a day trip to snorkel Cozumel. We haven't stayed in the area for 2 years but found the area restaurants were still just as good as we remembered. In the past we have stopped in Playa Del Carmen for groceries but this time we just shopped in town for breakfast and lunch items at the little markets and found the prices very comparable to Walmart. We also appreciated the little store that's half a block away for those last minute items or drinks. I would recommend this condo to anyone who doesn't have problems getting up and down a couple flights of stairs. The views are as amazing as advertised.
