"Nice place and walking distance to trains and buses. Nice healthy breakfast."

"It was a very nice stay. Staff were very nice."

"Very nice stay!"

"This is one of a handful of classy historic hotels near major rural attractions in Japan. A real old fashioned high-end style and treatment that makes you think you're in the 1930s. The location is convenient to the Nara Park where the historic attractions are located. It is not in walking distance of either train station."

"Great English speaking staff with beautiful rooms. We booked last minute for one night and got a free upgrade. The view of the lake and city is gorgeous. I would recommend staying here for comfort."

"Great kaseiki dinner. Our best meal in Japan. This ryokan oozes charm and the staff is wonderful"

"Incredible food, nice open air bath and great karaoke. Rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very nice"

"Tsukihitei is truly an extraordinary place. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful traditional setting, exceptional service, and attention to every detail made the experience unforgettable. It feels like stepping into a hidden gem where Japanese elegance and warm hospitality come together perfectly. A truly special place that I highly recommend."

"This was such a special property that was the ultimate luxury. The staff was impeccable and kind and so helpful. The room was dreamy with every minor detail executed perfectly. Nothing was forgotten and the breakfast and dinner onsite was a beautiful experience with delicious food."

"犬と一緒に一泊させていただきました。我が家の愛犬は、吠えるので、部屋の鉄製ドア一枚では、他所の犬の吠える声に反応して、何度も起こされ、泣きそうになった。よく見ると、部屋を隔てる内ドアをリノベの際に撤去❓した様子。風呂も良いし、朝食も美味しい、ドックランも良かっただけに残念。是非とも防音の対応策をお願いしたい。そこが改善出来れば再度お邪魔したい。"

"This property is close to Nara Park and many great restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"substandard setups in kitchen and toilet and bathroom. The recycled, overused mattress is so damned poor that we almost need to consult a spine doctor. We will never recommend our friends for this slaughter house 😔"
