"Room was clean (although there was a half eaten pizza from the last guests that the cleaners missed and was there throughout our stay), the basic service was great breakfast was good and staff were helpful and friendly. The view from the bar and restaurant was great. As it was a special occasion we had paid extra to upgrade the room and were a bit disappointed with that. We paid for a signature sea view room and while we did have a sea view all we could see from our bed was the wall of the hotel, so couldn’t really enjoy it. The room was also quite tight and looked like we had been given one of the smallest on the floor which was also disappointing. I would stay here again but would say that the upgrades are not worth it. Stick to a standard room and you won’t be disappointed. "

"Clean hotel, decent facilities, pool nice and warm, usually you can find parking outside unless it’s peak season. But scored down because they had no vegetarian sasuages despite us mentioning when we checked in. This is unforgivable in this day and age as there was no alternative and a lack of initiative to solve the issue eg go to the local coop and get some. Not very inclusive… "

"Amazing stay as expected "

"My partner and I had a wonderful three-night stay at Rhinefield House for his birthday. The staff were all excellent - a special mention to Deborah at breakfast and afternoon tea, whose warmth and personality really stood out - but everyone we encountered was lovely. They also made a thoughtful effort to acknowledge my partner’s birthday, which we hadn’t expected and really appreciated. We were lucky with the weather, which meant we could properly enjoy the beautiful grounds, especially sitting by the pond - a real highlight of the stay. A couple of minor points of feedback. On the first morning we were woken at around 5.30am by a fairly loud, continuous noise, like a motor running. This did continue intermittently throughout the stay, including late at night and early mornings, although not quite as loud after the first instance. It wasn’t disruptive enough for us to request a room move, but worth noting. Secondly, the outdoor pool is open from 9am to 4pm. As we were out during the day, it would have been nice if it stayed open later. We did have a look while passing and it looked like it could do with a bit of attention - there were leaves in the water and it didn’t feel particularly inviting. Appreciate it’s early in the season, but a bit of upkeep here would go a long way. I mention these as constructive feedback rather than criticism, as overall we had a really lovely first stay. Thank you to the team - we would definitely return."
