"I often stay at this hotel Great location Big spacious room and the stsff are a credit to the hotel"

"Great place to stay while in Speyside. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant has great food too! Would stay here again."

"Excellent 2 night stay at this family friendly hotel in October with our two grandkids. Only negative was the pool having to close for a deep clean on one night of our stay so our grandkids missed out on the pool disco, however I am sure this was required for health and safety reasons."

"A very welcoming place to stay while touring around the nearby distilleries. A great little restaurant, wonderful breakfast and a nice whiskey bar to unwind in the evening. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!"

"The pool is only open till 6 PM, and the town surrounding closes down around 5:30 PM. Nearby is fantastic for touring. We did the falconry and loved it."

"I stayed in a room rather than one of the lodges, and the room was lovely, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It's worth noting its on the very edge of the town, around a 15-minute walk from the centre of Ballater. My only disappointment was that the rooms are not serviced daily unless you are staying for a longer period, which wasn't explained at check-in. It was a little frustrating to return after a long day out to find the room hadn't been serviced, as that's one of the things I most...

"Room given was not as booked…. Had to really negotiate with the hotel and finally manager did what he could but it was a lot of hassle. Over all place was a bit dirty… especially the carpets"

"Stayed at this hotel"

"Easy parking to rear of hotel. Friendly, efficient welcome & check-in. Clean, spacious warm room (room 5). Good choice of tea/coffee. Large fluffy bath towels. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast again with excellent service."

"Enjoyed my stay! The washer/dryer was a bit confusing, and I wasn’t aware I’d be charged an additional fee for my power usage, but aside from that stay was great!"

"First class hotel, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful situation excellent food and very friendly efficient staff"

"Nice property and friendly owners. Location is also good as there are a number of restaurants and shops within a short walk. Only issue is the room was very small."

"We stayed in lodge 1, it is in serious need of some tlc and updating. The carpets, sofas should have been upgraded years ago, alongside the kitchen. Just a tired looking lodge now which is disappointing given the fantastic location. The pool is fab, and the Italian restaurant was lovely!"

"Grand espace pour le séjour et la cuisine. Bien équipé pour cuisiner. C'était propre et le personnel très agréable. Près du centre de Aviemore et de certaines randonnées."

"Cozy, warm, made us feel completely at home! Great breakfasts! Special little touches like fresh flowers in local gin bottles, wee dram of scotch, cookies and chocolate. Awesome bed! Nice, crisp white sheets, comfy white comforter and good pillows! Loved the decor and the red doors!"

"We throughly enjoyed our time at Dunallan House. Very comfortable and cozy room. Appreciated the home cooked breakfasts in the mornings with lots of options to choose from. Great historic building in Grantown-on-Spey in a most stunning area of Aberdeenshire. Stephen and Ginny were perfect hosts! Thank you!"

"Our Lodge, number 1, lovely, clean and well positioned. Everything you could need in the kitchen and more for a successful self-catering holiday. The whole site was quiet when we visited. Easy walking distance into the town."
