"On the plus side, the hotel room was clean and warm and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Parking is free and plentiful.
Didn’t use the restaurant or pool, so no opinion on either.
But… this is not a 4 star hotel.
Room 207 was a bit tired and in need of some updating - bathroom especially.
Fixed shower door over the bath means you have to be in the bath to turn on the shower - and a shower head that really needs a descaling. I tried to scrub the shower head using...
"Lovely setting with some great architecture. Friendly family run hotel but somewhat tired in places.
Disappointed by the most bizarre room which had a full size stainless steel kitchen segregating a reasonably nice bedroom from the large but rather odd bathroom (which also housed the wardrobe). Had its own ‘orangery’ and small garden.
Loads of blinds to close, some of which were broken and the orangery outer doors had no blinds. Open plan so couldn’t make it completely dark… luckily had my eye...
"Loved our overnight stay. This was a lovely tough of luxury from the hot tub and swimming pool to the complimentary mini bar. Would have liked to stay longer."
"Lovely hotel! Beautiful interior and comfy beds. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were shut so that was only disappointing part. Other then that was lovely"
"Room was ok, clean but an empty bowl was on the table catching water from a leaking window. Windows were dirty.
Never seen staff. Guy on phone on the Friday was rude and unhelpful. Great view. Not family friendly.
We had 2 drunk men wandering around the property.
Loved the fact there was free water, crisps and sweets. Now that was a nice touch.
Once in the room it was ok."
" Perfect position near all amenities. Great access to beach.
The caravan was clean and very well equipped including excellent cooking and washing facilities.
Unfortunately there were no drying facilities, even for wet towels and swimwear. The indoor and outdoor furniture was rather tired and uncomfortable. "
