"Stayed over night and attended an awards night on site. Form the welcome to the rooms to the food and service we had nothing to fault. Our only annoyance was the £15 parking charge which really ought to be free for guests staying the night."
"Simple, no frills hotel. I booked a club room, so not sure what the differences were, but amenities were basic, no air conditioning, so it wouldn’t be a place I ever stayed in summer. Walls very thin so can hear everyone walking past etc."
"It looks very smart and clean but too many things to do ourselves, like check yourself in do all the work a Receptionist would have done but with their help. No telephone in the room and no one answered when I tried on my mobile and therefore had to walk to reception to get our query answered. Tea coffee etc but no welcome biscuits at over £160 for one night and no breakfast very expensive. Standards room. Only stayed here as it was the venue for a reunion event."
"Once I saw that the hotel was now run by OYO I nearly had a heart attack as the one in Cardiff is shocking! The only reason we were okay was because of the manager who is looking at leaving anyway. It is a terrible company.
You can see things are deteriorating already. The carpets are very dirty. We were in a room that had almost light coming in."
"Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...
