"This is an absolutely charming inn attached to a pub and restaurant. The room is cozy and updated. The restaurant food is local, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Sunday roast was just delicious. You’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a number of beautiful walks/hikes right outside the door."
"The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it."

"Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return."
"It's a gothic style hotel,and unusuallcompared to today's run of the mill places .parking good . Near the town . Staff where lovely .the dark haired waitress was funny friendly and attentive .all the reception staff where friendly and helpful .the food was very good quality from the talented chef .I hope he stays at this hotel for future quests to experience his food . .we would stay again and will do next year . The room cleaner young man helped us with our bags and him and the lady...
"Helpful and flexible with uncertainty over bookings, and the accommodation was at least satisfactory in general... but there was drastically inadequate parking for a full hostel, and we were not given all the necessary info about how to gain access to the buildings ! ( a helpful resident who happened to be up late saved us from standing outside in the cold and dark. Make sure the person on the desk not only gives over the FULL keypad entry number...but also HOW to access the key pad in order...
"This is a small hotel which has been decorated well. the staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was really good The rooms are clean and lovely. However, there is no lift and there are 3 floors. there isn't a large separate lounge. However ,the views are amazing."
"Liz and Glenn operate an amazing property, they are extremely helpful and accommodating hosts, their breakfasts are outstanding, our room was very clean and comfortable. Herriots is superbly located in the town of Hawes, which itself has plenty of food and beverage outlets as well as being well positioned to access all that the Dales has to offer."
"What a great stay at the White Hart Inn. Set in the middle of Hawes, wonderful breakfast and dinners, and a recently renovated room that was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommend."
"The staff were great. I slept well despite the rattling window and the waterproof mattress. Everything was really clean except the area around the door handles, and the windowsills.
One suggestion for improvement would be to have the corridor lights dimmed at night - I was the last one to go to bed in my dorm and the room flooded with light as I opened the door 😬"
