"Our stay at the Craven Hiefer hotel The room was very tired looking ,Stains on the carpet, the sheets on the bed. Not ironed towels hard and very creased ,the crack in the wash basin ,dirty skirting boards. We enjoyed the location of the property—not to far from Leyburn, Hawes, or Grassington.
Good location for short and long walks or hikes.
You can walk to the falls from the hotel, and there are footpaths if you want to walk to all three falls. That was fun.
Just a quick drive to visit Bolton Castle—worth the visit.

"The Devonshire Arms hotel is a really lovely place to stay. The room had everything we needed including a fridge and ironing board. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Super breakfast though there was no gluten free cereal available."

"This is a small hotel which has been decorated well. the staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was really good The rooms are clean and lovely. However, there is no lift and there are 3 floors. there isn't a large separate lounge. However ,the views are amazing."

This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes.
The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream)
Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed.
The hotel and attached restaurant is completely plant based. I somehow missed this fact when booking but I needn’t have worried.
