"Breakfast was nice. This hotel is near the sights in Stone Town. Walk through the narrow shopping streets to the slave market in just a few minutes. Freddie Mercury residence is just around the corner from the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful, although I did have to ask 4 times to get the TV working."

"Air conditioning work great and the hotel is in a great location"

"The service at the Neela was unparalleled. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, but never fawning or in the way. Make sure to visit not only their downstairs cafe, but also their rooftop restaurant. Highly recommend."

"This is a hotel of opposites. Great location in stone town but down a dark alley you can’t quite drive to the door. Helpful reception but we’d booked 3 rooms and they initially gave us 2. Lovely clean spacious rooms but others with no view or very noisy. Wonderful old character but random electrical sockets - could only have the (empty) fridge OR the kettle OR the light plugged in. Clean bathroom with plenty of hot water and shower gel but no soap to wash hands at the basin. Great terrace for...

"The room was large and very clean. The staff were very helpful."

"Extremely slow check in and “room assignments.” Location of bedroom was in a place very noisy all day and all night long. Besides, we had to sleep with the window open (which didn’t help with the noise either) as the smell of the room was very strong (probably a chemical for the mosquitoes). Breakfast was ok. Location was very good close to Stone Town little streets and port."

"Absolut top!

"A Wonderful Place to Relax and Experience Zanzibar! I spent five nights at Alladin Beach Resort following my Kilimanjaro climb, and it was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar. The setting is beautiful, with stunning views of the Indian Ocean and spectacular sunrises. I loved starting my mornings with a coffee, watching the sun come up and taking in the peaceful surroundings. What really made my stay special, though, was the people. The staff were warm, welcoming and...
