"The room was clean and functional. Plenty of parking. The receptionist who checked me in was miserable and didn’t make me feel welcome. Pretty sure I was the only one staying there. The hotel is very tired in most respects. It’s quite isolated also so you need a car to get anywhere. My room was located very close to the A19 so a lot of road traffic noise."

"Stayed for one night after a short break in Scarborough. If you want luxury this is certainly a place to stay. Can't fault it apart from due to the master bedroom being quite big it only had a double size bed in it. Imo It needs a king size bed just to give it that extra wow factor. "Large room very clean, nice peaceful surroundings. Fridge very handy. 2 single put-you-up beds in room for some reason in addition to the double bed. Never saw the owners. No breakfast as advertised on Hotels.com (& also on the sign on main road it's listed as a B&B) but plenty of places in Yarm to eat & we had a lovely evening meal at the Fox Covert pub up the lane - would advise booking as packed. A little coffee table would be handy "
