"I have stayed at a Village hotel before in Cheadle and it was great, but this was a disappointing trip. The bedroom was small (even though I was in a club room) but clean and the staff were lovely. However what spoilt this trip was the filthy restaurant. We arrived on Friday and could not find a table to eat without dirty plates still on them. 75% of the tables in this restaurant had not been cleared or cleaned at 5pm. It was disgusting. Rooms nice and clean although building itself seems a bit old with creaking floors. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a nice addition although in need of a revamp. But overall excellent value for money"

"Ideal place to stay whether on business or personal. Accommodation is separate block in carpark, which has plenty of parking. Marston’s restaurant food is excellent. Room was great with aircon if needed. Note 2 story with stairs, so best to phone if infirm so you can secure a first floor room.

"Tired old dump. Tired exterior. Dirty linen cages dumped on car park, no air con, small uncomfortable bed. Low quality inedible breakfast and undrinkable coffee. Bottom of the market tired old dump."
"The hotel room we were allocated was at the back of the building off a really bad smelling musty corridor which seeped into the room. The room itself, other than the smell, was good. Clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly. Food in the restaurant was great.
We asked for our bins to be emptied and for fresh towels which didn't happen."
"This hotel is absolutely 5 star the owners and staff are so friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are soo beautiful and comfortable such attention to detail. As a vegetarian I had the vegetarian breakfast it was soo tasty I had it two days in a row I can honestly say I have never had such a good breakfast at a hotel before. Again the same goes for the evening meals. I recommend this hotel 100%. Location is perfect for discovering Ludlow and surrounding villages."
