"Lovely reception staff - i wrote the names of the women down but lost them! But they were so welcoming and helpful.
The reviews for thie hotel seem quite harsh as this is a solid four star review hotel. The pool and gym are excellent. Breakfast had the best bacon I have had in a hotel but you need to come to breakfast before 9.30.
The rooms were clean and modern."
"We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and overall had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay. The views across the golf course were beautiful and it really is somewhere you can unwind and slow down. Looking out over the open landscape was incredibly peaceful.
My main disappointment was the cleaning. The communal area leading to the apartments didn't appear to have been cleaned when we arrived. I deliberately waited a couple of days to see if it would be attended to, but by the third day the same...
"The family room was on the 3rd floor with two windows which were in poor condition. Only one was safe to open. The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good as was the restaurant where we had dinner one evening. Staff were always very helpful and polite."
"The hotel is a business focused conference venue with good facilities and loads of meeting rooms. My only complaint was restaurant closes at 9:00 and there is no room service."
"We would happily have spent a second night at Norfolk Arms! It was located within a block or two of good restaurants (loved the chicken in a tasty sauce at The Steakist) and an easy walk to the castle (a must see!), the cathedral, and a nice small museum. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable (everything we could want!) and parking was easy."
"I stayed for one night while visiting my daughter at Chichester University and had hoped to find a hotel I could use regularly, but I will not be returning.
The website says parking is available, but the hotel car park was difficult to find, extremely small and full. After a 2½-hour drive, I had to navigate a very busy town centre to find alternative parking, all of which was chargeable. The limited parking needs to be explained much more clearly before booking.
I arrived at 2.30pm, but my...
"Beautiful rooms, I've never seen so many light switches and sockets to plug into ! let down by poor maintenance on the bathroom doors, which didn't close due to not fitting in the frame by a few cm! Maybe they were just being installed, but not great when you can't close the door.
We had a very fancy fan, but would be cautious booking without air-con in the hotter times.
Breakfast was good ! proper bread, and a chef who can cook eggs without them being snotty or hard boiled !
Room had...
"Charming, quirky place, more than adequate for a one night stop over. Pleasant room with nice, recently refitted bathroom - sadly very hot/stuffy during recent hot weather. EV chargers did not work for me unfortunately. Food rather uninspiring and underwhelming, otherwise would stay again."
"Restaurant and bar and our room was in the very old building which is part of a more modern complex. Room had no heating and we needed it in the evening. Staff were nice when you could find them, too few staff doing too many jobs. Bar was open but couldn't find a bar person to get a drink, too busy serving in the restaurant I think? Had sirloin stake meal for dinner which was not that great considering it was £36pp for a lot of gristle. Booked joint massage well in advance of visit but on the...
"Great atmosphere and friendly staff made our stay memorable. Blooms restaurant excellent. Also the good choice for breakfast with local produce very good."
