"I stayed in this hotel in Exeter Oct 26-29. The woman who checked me in could not seem less happy to see me or in in checking me in. My room was lovely and quiet and clean... until I lost something and looked under the bed where there were someone's dirty underwear, a pair of glasses and God knows what else amidst an inch of dust. Extremely gross I called down to reception multiple times and there was no answer. For three nights reception was mostly absent. When my key wouldn't work I waited 20...

"On arrival, the staff were really helpful and polite. Parking was conveniently situated across the road from the hotel. The room and bathroom had a cosy feel with lots of character and was nice and clean. The beautiful sitting room was a lovely space to relax. We ate in the bar area and the food was very good, as was breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again."

"Plenty of parking at the rear of the pub for guest, which was great as there isn’t any parking on the Main Street. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice."

"A little gem. We had a lovely room overlooking the river. Beautifully decorated, nice furnishings, comfortable bad and bedding. It's a small inn with 11 rooms so no lifts and no miles of corridors (perfect for me). We had a very good dinner in the restaurant so there was no need to walk back into the city centre. Breakfast was very good, the hot food was served so freshly cooked rather than buffet. All staff were friendly and helpful. The free, convenient parking was a bonus."

"Perfect for a overnight stop on our way down to Penzance, Roof was excellent as was the bed . A little noise from the busy main road but certainly not a problem. We would definitely stay here again and also dog friendly. Perfect!"
