"Lovely location with Wooky Holes on the doorstep of the Hotel. Room was basic but clean and had everything you'd want fir an overnight stay. Lovely grounds for a walk. Only negative was bath taps had hot water, but the shower had only had cold water. The mixer thermostat was obviously faulty. Talking to other guests, this seemed to be a common fault as others said their shower only had cold water too."

"It is a good location from which to explore Bath and surrounding area, but it is not in the city center, although very short walk to the action. The property offers an expensive (very) parking option, but staff were quick to point a cheaper off site option a short distance away. Breakfast was a bit crowded and not too inspiring. The room was a little too tight for 2 adults and 2 kids, really. Once the sofa bed was opened, remaining space was very limited, but it was clean, and well kept. Kind of...

"The location to train station made us pick this hotel. The attentive and helpful staff were amazing, especially Gabriel. The room needed maintenance though, door to get into our room was hard to close and open. Curtains hanging down, pictures on wall without frames, tea pot and cups needed cleaning. Fan was not working but was replaced. I know the building is old but we stayed in three hotels/inns before arriving at this location and they were much more renovated and maintained."

"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"Lovely stay at the hotel with peace and quiet atmosphere and neighbourhood. Helpful staff and accommodating. Great breakfast. Easy to access public transport and nearby restaurants and cafes and places to see."

"The staff were really helpful and breakfast was good. The hotel overall is tired and old fashioned. I stayed in 3 different rooms (another story) and all had different issues with them. There certainly weren't any tablecloths on the breakfast tables like the picture at the start of this survey."

"Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly. I stayed here one night to visit the near by Cotswold villages, like Castle Combe, which was only half an hour away. If the windows could be upgraded and...
