"This is the most deceptive marketing we have experienced on the Expedia app. The pictures of our room looked nothing like the dilapidated mess we were confronted with, including a peeling and rotting bath panel; excessive mold around the bath, ceiling and walls; a discolored mirror; carpet stains and a missing headboard. "Upon arrival (slightly early) I was greeted by a lovely lady on reception; very helpful. Check-in was quick & efficient. Good sized room & very comfy bed. Compact but super-clean & functional bathroom, with a great powerful shower. High quality towels & linens throughout. Room amenities were of a high standard, plenty of hanging space for clothes, plus drawers for my bits. Spacious desk/workspace, with plenty of power outlets. After checking in, I enjoyed a superb meal in the restaurant,...

"Staff fantastic. Location convenient. Definitely value for money. Decor is funny because rooms are massive so it feels like they’re hard to fill. Shower wasn’t very cold, is only a negative because of the outrageous heat at the minute. Assume AC was broke because we got given fans"

"So close but quiet at night to city center castle , river and more and very close to train and bus station. Compact but efficient , would skip the breakfast as a Weatherspoon is across the street w better value. Engaged staff even threaded a needle for me to put on a button."
