My room was next to an exit and there were guests entering and leaving at all hours of the day and night with loud noises of door opening and closing and we hardly got any sleep. "Full disclosure-there is room renovation happening in the rooms all around mine. That was not disclosed before I made my non-refundable reservation. My room has very obviously not been renovated. The carpet was not clean. The curtains that covered the windows looking out to the public inside courtyard were partially hanging off the rod. There were no other windows and the only room lights were two low level lighting wall sconces, one on each side of the bed. No ceiling or lamp lights other than...

"We had the displeasure of seeing at the La Quinta in Buffalo, New York, July 2 of 2026. When we pulled up to the hotel, it looked nice from the outside. The parking lot was clean. The front entryway was clean. And then overwhelming aroma of cologne hit me straight in the face when I walked up to the front desk. It was strong enough that it hurts to breathe a little bit We got checked in first floor which normally would be lovely. Upon opening the door to the room and it was about 100° inside....

"I hate leaving bad reviews; but I am going to. The pros are the proximity to the casino and to Niagara Falls; that's it. Oh and the beds were surprisingly comfortable! The check in staff was incredibly unhelpful, we booked as a friend group and tried to check in early and were able to (only about 30 minutes prior to check in time). Another party in our group was not able to even check in at check in time. So a few hours delay, thank goodness we had my room to hang out in. We tried being patient...

"If I could give the staff more than 5 stars, I would. Especially front desk (and especially especially the gentleman who did my check out). Friendly, personable, helpful, and so, so kind. Great ambassadors for the city! The location was perfect for my needs (we had to visit the U.S. Passport Office). The room & furnishings were a wee bit tired (furniture battered, rug could use refreshing, shower/tub could use updating), but it was clean, comfortable, and not terribly expensive."
